How Developers Build a Brand for the Company and Get More Coverage for Their Titles

Lecturer: Sue Bohle, The Bohle Company

How can a developer begin to build a brand for the company? If you do contract work, with the publisher promoting your titles, how do you make sure your game gets maximum visibility?

And, if you do your own PR, how do you maximize the coverage for a title? What media categories can you get to? What techniques do you use? How do you involve fans?

Sue Bohle will give an overview of the types of media that cover video games and video game companies, and talks about the best way to approach each category. When to do/not to do for media events and the best way to conduct media tours are also discussed.

Handouts include useful checklists and tips for your spokesperson in doing press interviews.
